We continued our association with The Duke of York Hotel in 1990. By this stage Tom Trasy was programming for us. However, in August there was another change of management at the pub and this time they "wanted to go in a different direction" so we had to find another venue. Luckily The Gilbert Hotel, which featured local original instrumental band Billy and the Redfins, was more than willing to host us.
Our relationship with Music Works finished in August. It was ironic that some people considered the acts we programmed at Music Works were "rocky" whereas other people regarded our weekly venue as "folky" because many of the acts were acoustic (not necessarily folk but the concept of unplugged wasn't well understood in those days)!
