FOOM Song Competition Live Heat Three results

Winners in the second heat of SCALA's Festival of Original Music Song Competition 2011 Live Section held at Higher Ground on 25th August were:

Ben Roberts Bag Pipes in D
Krista Pav Bend a little
James Byrne The Nullabor Song
Joanna Iuliano Waterloo Creek
Peter Clayton Deaf, Dumb and Blind
Adrian Miller & Corey Stewart Can't Let It Slide

These songs will go into the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September at Higher Ground (Theatre).

Heat Two judges were singer/songwriters Gloria Albanese and Jim Lesses.

Winner of the "People's Choice" Award (based on audience votes) was Ben Roberts with his song Bag Pipes in D. Runners up were Joanna Iuliano (Waterloo Creek), and Nataleigh (Obscure).

Star Encouragement nominations were:

Will Kallinderis
Wotjek Duniec
Becky Gollan
Mark Gazley

These emerging songwriters will be presented with their Awards at the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September when the Overall Winner of the Star Encouragement Awards will be announced.

FOOM Song Competition Live Heat Two results

Winners in the second heat of SCALA's Festival of Original Music Song Competition 2011 Live Section held at Higher Ground on 18th August were:

Iain Wright Staring At The Door
David Cronin Gravity
Joe Man Murphy Dandelion Wine
Diana Scalzi Little Boy

These songs will go into the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September at Higher Ground (Theatre).

Heat Two judges were songwriter and music consultant Becc Bates and singer/songwriter Andy Armstrong.

Winner of the "People's Choice" Award (based on audience votes) was Joe Man Murphy with his song Dandelion Wine. Runners up were Diana Scalzi (Little Boy), and Michelle Byrne (The Bobby Song).

Star Encouragement nominations were:

Mary Webb
Diana Scalzi

These emerging songwriters will be presented with their Awards at the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September when the Overall Winner of the Star Encouragement Awards will be announced.

Winners in the first heat of SCALA's Festival of Original Music Song Competition 2011 Live Section held at Higher Ground on 11th August were:

Steve Fotineas Art Is Art

These songs will go into the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September at Higher Ground (Theatre).

Heat One judges were singer/songwriters Dr Mandy Treagus and Cal Williams Jr..

Winner of the "People's Choice" Award (based on audience votes) were Alan and Jess O'Toole with their song Please Believe Me. Runners up were Bryan Foley (Again), and Trent Heaft (Desperate Days).

Star Encouragement nominations were:

Antonia
Thom Lion
Dylan Warren
David Bond

These emerging songwriters will be presented with their Awards at the Live Final on Thursday, 1st September when the Overall Winner of the Star Encouragement Awards will be announced.
