SCALA Over The Edge CDSCALA releases its latest CD entitled SCALA Over The Edge on Saturday 19th November 2005. The launch will take place at The Joiners Arms Hotel, Manton Street, Hindmarsh (SCALA's weekly venue) starting at 9pm.SCALA Over The Edge contains winning songs from SCALA's annual Festival of Original Music (FOOM) Song Competition for 2003 and 2004 with 16 award winning songs. There are also three bonus tracks extending the album to almost 77 minutes. SCALA Over The Edge is SCALA's tenth CD and its sixteenth album of original music since 1990. Artists on the album include Jane-Marie Evans, The Standard Deviations, The Fortunate Sons, Blame Jayne, wordfly (Darwin based band), Adrian Miller, Manyoush, UK based Cal Williams Jr, among others. SCALA's albums since 1990 have enabled the professional recording and release of 261 new songs, 178 of them on CD and all but 8 songs written by songwriters/composers in or from Australia. Headline acts from the CD who will be appearing at the launch of SCALA Over The Edge are David Robinson, Jane-Marie Evans and the band, Blame Jayne.
