Clayton Werner

Clayton has been writing songs ever since picking up some guitar chords, the creativity bug has been helped along enormously with his involvement in SCALA. He enjoys writing lots of different sorts of songs, covering history, relationships, politics, usually with a point, if not a barb. He's a regular SCALA performer as well as at some other gigs including:
  • Radio Adelaide
  • SA Museum
  • An Odd Adelaide Peace Rally
  • Tandanya (no I'm not an indigenous Australian)
  • The Gov (Club C and the front bar)
As well as songwriting and performing, Clayton is co-convenor of SCALA's "Join-us" Songwriting workshops, has a full time job, a full time family and is a volunteer (on air) at Radio Adelaide on the show "A Peace of the Action".

    Cal won a number of FOOM Awards (as Andy Williams) before going to the UK where he has gigged extensively and released a number of albums.
