He had most success as bassist for rock band Penthouse, who were critically acclaimed and signed to the Beggars Banquet label. Other diversions have included singing in a band with the drummer of Madness and time served as a tour manager/ driver with the likes of Samantha Fox, Pavement and Groove Amanda, to name a few.

In 2007 Esme had built a studio in the Adelaide Hills and was in three bands; playing guitar with Wintergreen (celtic band which played a number of interstate festivals in 2006), acoustic duo Two Fingers - now renamed The Es and M Project - and Outland Brothers (formed with Matthew Aulich, formerly of Tasmania's Paradise Motel). Kelly Menhennett

Intravenously fed song from the womb, multi-award winning singer songwriter Kelly Menhennett was bound to grace us with her musical talent. Born to a singer mother and a 3rd generation grape growing father, both with an eclectic taste in music, Kelly officially began playing her first instrument, the violin, at the tender age of 4. As she grew she took a shine to guitar and discovered the joys of singing and songwriting.

Kelly always had great passion for music and the arts but after leaving school she pursued her other great passion and went on to become an accomplished and well respected winemaker. During this time whilst living back in her home town amongst the clean air and open skies her musical talents re-emerged from the shadows. Since her initial days performing at a local club, calling out meal orders in between songs, Kelly has gone on to perform at local and interstate venues and festivals and is slowly building a reputation as a delightful, unique and charismatic performer.

The release of her much anticipated debut album World of Mine is sure to have people talking and her sound will be ingrained into the hearts and minds of those who get to hear her. Fusing folk, blues, jazz, soul and world music, she has been labelled as a singer songwriter of extraordinary talent. Mixing the grit of an old blues/soul singer with her relaxed, smoky vocals, creating tunes that when put together defy categorisation and sound uniquely Kelly.
