Sideways Glance Henley Square (This is Where I Belong) (Andrew Ferguson and Grant Shillabeer)
Andrew Ferguson and Grant Shillabeer Sideways Glance is a collaboration between Andrew Ferguson (vocals, sax, percussion & annoying humming) and Grant Shillabeer (guitars & legendary knees). With influences ranging from Madness to Miles Davis (taking in Sting and Crowded House along the way), they create melodic pop which edges toward jazz and rock. For this session, they called in some heavy reinforcements, using what was then the spectacular rhythm section of Adelaide’s beloved Spank You Very Much. Dave Innocente, also with Spanks at the time, ably filled in on guitar since Grant was off gallivanting around Tasmania when recording time came around.

The songs on this CD arose from an idea by John Schumann to produce a CD of songs about South Australia and its main regions. With sponsorship from the SA Tourism Commission, Arts SA and SA Country Arts Trust and support from ABC Radio, SCALA conducted a song competition in 1997. The judges selected a number of songs from this competition and these were supplemented by other songs submitted later in 1997. All the songs were recorded at Mixmasters Recording Studio (except for track 10).

NOTE: SCALA does not have copies of this promotional only album for sale.
