Recorded at Quentin Eyers Music Return to Track Listing Catherine Blanch Coffee In The Ashtray (Catherine Blanch and Peter Beeby)
Catherine Blanch wrote Coffee In The Ashtray as a dare. It's the first and only song she's written, so far, that isn't about a specific person. She describes it as "a visual thing, representing an argument at the kitchen table, quickly standing up in anger and shit flying everywhere… as it does!" This song will also be appearing on Catherine's demo CD called Broken Cups and Saucers due for release sometime before the turn of the next century! Catherine thanks Corey and Adrienne for spending 2 days hanging with her at the studio and donating their amazing natural talents. Both Peter Beeby and Catherine were in the original trios Feelso... and Third Drawer - writing many songs together with an ease that is dearly missed by Catherine, now that times have moved on. "Peter always had the most amazing sense of what was going on inside my head, and was able to give our music that certain touch of expertise and knowing that a song was secretly crying out for - and I am eternally greatful for the times we spent writing together. Precious moments in my musical life that are always fondly remembered." (CB)
