Louise Perryman Whisper My Name (Louise Perryman and Kere Buchanan)
Exploding the stereotype of conventional R'n'B, Louise Perryman creates a powerful vibe on stage - and in the studio - wowing both critics and audiences alike. Unofficially crowned Australia's new voice of soul, Louise's dynamic style has made her one of Sydney's busiest and certainly most prolific singer/songwriters. Her provocative lyrical style has consistently struck the right chord with her peers and her growing audience. Since the release of her impressive debut album, come on-a my house, Louise continues to win coveted songwriting awards and is consistently singled out to perform at showcases.
The APRA "Composer Exposer" Showcase led to national exposure, with Louise's tracks featured on two compilation albums of Australia's brightest talents. With all tracks so far on her new album in progress, Whisper My Name already boasting songwriting awards including the 1999 Australian Songwriters Association R&B Song of the Year (Thinkin' Too Much), a heavy pre-release industry buzz is anticipated. Spreading her musical wings, Louise is currently spending much of her time with her guitar in acoustic mode. And once again, her versatility and ability to transcend all genres is showcased, with an acoustic CD, Nowhere Near Eleven launched on her MP3 page in March 2001. Also hot off the press is a superb piano and vocal album of timeless covers, The Painter and The Bird, recorded with husband, Bill Risby, during February and March 2001. Whisper My Name won the Master Section of the 2000 SCALA FOOM Song Competition.

Vivienne Holloway As Always (Vivienne Holloway)
Born in Adelaide, Vivienne Holloway grew up with music as an important part of her upbringing and education studying Classical Ballet, Flute and AMEB Music theory, rounded off with a healthy 50/60's record collection and an addiction to Sunday afternoon Jazz on Classic FM. Picking up the guitar and a 'learn how to play' book at 16 years old she learned how to strum and make shapes with Donovan's Catch the Wind. Since then Vivienne's guitar has been an important forum for expression and relaxation and a very good friend through the trials and tribulations of growing pains.....the chaos that is student housing....adventures packing fruit in country Australia....abrupt learning curves in the circuses of Melbourne....exploring the streets of London....the bizarre nooks and crannies of Greece and Spain and the many bus and train terminals in between....(next year she's headed to explore the highways of the U.S.).
As Always was the inaugural winner of the Emerging Songwriters Award at the Songwriters Event 2000.

Vesna Malnar Winter (Vesna Malnar)
Vesna Malnar had been writing songs with co-writing partner Kathy Cox in their all girl band The Strumettes, a wild acoustic country/folk/punk band with a comic theme of runaway housewives, before she teamed up with John Nolan in early 1997. Vesna and John started working as a duo at fairs, cafes and songwriter nights and gradually added more musicians to the lineup. Under the name of Ana Key and the Minority Group they released an album entitled F (a comic production with a feminist bent) then worked the songs into a cabaret act and presented the show at the 1999 Sydney Fringe Festival scoring live coverage on triple J, 2SER and Bondi FM. Before their next CD, No Ordinary Day, was complete but not released, Vesna had written another set of new songs, one of which was Winter. Bass player David Wilkinson insisted that the song be recorded immediately. As soon as it came out of the CD burner it went straight to SCALA's song competition and the result was more than encouraging as the song received a Special Award in the 2000 FOOM Master Section.
